The hair finder

Read your hair
the way we do.

Written with the colourists of our Verona salon · about one minute

Tell us about your hair.

1 · Curl pattern

Let it dry without product, then look at a single strand.

2 · Thickness

Roll one strand between finger and thumb.

3 · The one thing you would change

Choose the one that bothers you most.

With every regimen

Two 8 ml sachets of the next formula we think your hair will want, a dosing card written for your pattern, and a reply from a colourist if anything feels wrong in the first month.

Why we ask about curl first

Shape decides where light lands.

Oil travels down a straight strand in a day; on a coil it barely reaches past the first bend. So the same gloss has to be moved by hand, in different amounts, for each pattern — thickness tells us how much, and your concern tells us how often.

Every answer here is checked by Giada Morandi, our senior colourist, who reviews the finder each season against what she sees on the chair.

About the finder

If your hair does two things.

Wavy underneath, curly on top — which do I pick?

Pick the pattern of the hair around your face — it is what you see and style most. Then use the elixir dose for the looser pattern underneath.

Can I change one product in the regimen?

Of course. The regimen is a starting point; each formula is sold on its own in the shop, and the colourists answer emails about swaps within a working day.

How soon will I see a difference?

Shine shows on the first wash day. Frizz and dryness take three to four washes, as the cuticle settles; breakage is a six-week question.
